TV Stuff

We did loads of TV work during the three years that we operated.  And probably turned down more than we actually did.    Mostly because I wanted to be paid commercial rates for the hire of the vehicles and was never quite able to convince our suppliers that a brief mention in the credits was adequate reason for a hefty discount.

It is possible that the remaining coach, the Bristol MW, might still be available for film or TV work.

More or less in chronological order, here's a list of the stuff that we actually did (dates are by broadcast, not actual filming):

Feb 2004 - "Working Lunch" for BBC2, in support of a Dorset based business that we did some work for - Gingerpop Promotions. We did a few shots around Swanage using our OB and Paul was interviewed live on national TV.
June 2004 - "The Summer of 44", an independent production for Meridian TV, looking at life in the South of England during the build up to D-Day.  All the location shots were filmed in the New Forest over a couple of days.  I had a few illusions shattered here, though.  I'm not supposed to tell you, but all the GI's in the programme were actually "re-enactors" and in real-life are all members of the West Midlands Constabulary. Although they all spoke with American accents while filming, they mostly had broad Brummie accents when off-camera.  Very strange... Again, this was using our OB, even though it wasn't actually built until 6 years later.
April 2005 - Our Bedford SB was chosen by GMTV (breakfast television) to be their "Life Coach" and was seen every morning live on television as the studio for Pete Cohen, the real life coach who was helping contributors to deal with various phobias and obsessions.  During the week, we drove from our base near Southampton to Durham, then to Nottingham, Colchester and East Grinstead before returning home to base.  Despite having to start at 4 pm every day, it was a highly enjoyable week and a great experience to work with a bunch of true professionals, And yes, I did get to meet Andrea the weather lady!
August 2005 - Once again, our OB was out and about providing transport for the contributors to BBC's "Dealing with Dickinson".  And the answer to the question that I've been asked most about this is "yes, he is".
September 2005 - We provided the two coaches for "Wakey, Wakey, Campers" , our Bedford SB and Bristol MW. There were some nice shots of both coaches running on the Isle of Wight
